Can't get enough of Street Roots vendor poetry?
Join us next Wednesday, May 22nd, to hear Street Roots vendors read a collection of their own poetry! The reading will take place from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Sliding scale admission is a $0-$20 donation to Street Roots. This event will be hosted at 1001 NW Kearney Street at the NE corner of Jamison Square in the old Fjällräven store.

Parks of the Pearl
The flowers are blooming and the sky is blue in Portland! We all hear about the benefits of getting out in nature, but did you know that in the Pearl District, nature is just a block or two away?
We’re fortunate enough to have some truly fantastic parks in the Pearl. Three of our parks, Jamison Square, Tanner Springs, and the Fields Park, were all designed as part of a city initiative all the way back in 1999. The city hired award-winning landscape architect Peter Walker & Partners do build three new parks, each with a distinct personality in the Pearl. Each park is different, but a series of recurring elements tie the parks together with cohesive design and theme.

The Pearl District Neighborhood Association brings us another couple of fabulous Jazz in the Pearl events in March!
See the Idit Shner Quartet on Thursday, March 7th, and the Chris Brown Trio on the 21st.

Doors open at 4:30, and the cover charge is only $10. Enjoy great beer, wine, and snacks paired with amazing local jazz!

SEXTET: Queer Pop-Up Exhibition
We’re thrilled to announce Sextet: Queer Pop-Up Exhibition, a fabulous art show in the Pearl District Portfolio’s Maddox Building! The exhibition runs from Friday, February 23, through March 24 and features artists Daniel Peabody, David Eckard, Michael Espinoza, Pepper Pepper, Molly Alloy, and Andrzej Jank.
The official opening is Friday, the 23rd, at 5 pm! Don’t miss it!
