Halloween is a time for all things spooky and kooky, from carved pumpkins to pumpkin-flavored everything! In Portland, this holiday is bursting with events for all ages. With so many ways to celebrate this most bewitching time of the year, it can be hard to choose the best one, so we gathered a list of a few of our favorite Halloween gatherings in the Pearl District or just nearby.
Zombie Love: Barbie & Ken's Halloween Dance Party
A Barbie and zombie-themed dance party? Yes, please! Stage 13 is hosting a dance party on the 27th! Costumes encouraged! Dress as a shiny new doll or a rotten zombie! The party will feature Seattle’s The Juicy Peppers band, DJ Jedi, a 360 photo booth, games, prizes, and a costume contest!

River Pig Presents Nightmare on 13th Street
River Pig Saloon, in the heart of the Pearl District, has set out “to give Portland the freaky costume party it so desperately deserves.”
This indoor/outdoor event will feature beats from Jupiter Williams and a massive adjacent Silent Disco with all the drinks and dance beats to get the zombies moving. Prizes for best costume and more entertainment announcements are to come. Stay tuned @riverpig

Parent's Night Out!Halloween Kids Party
If you’d like to get away this Halloweekend, The Studio NW is hosting a Parent’s Night out! Let your kids enjoy face painting, trick-or-treating, pizza, snacks, age-appropriate Halloween movies, and even a little scary acting!
The event is designed for kids ages 7 and up, so they can enjoy a fantastic evening with friends and siblings. Proceeds go towards a short film for the Acting for Kids and Teens students!

Howloween at the Oregon Zoo
This Oregon Zoo tradition gives trick-or-treaters a way to learn about animals and their habitats while engaging in prepared activities at the zoo! Best suited for kids aged 2-10, Howloween is a great way to get your little ghouls and gremlins out and about this Halloween. Costumes are encouraged, and treat bags are complimentary with your tickets.

6th Annual Portland SUP Witches on the Willamette
A Very Portland Tradition
Join a coven of local witches as they take the Willamette on stand-up paddleboards! If you’d like to join the festivities, participation is free! Organizers do ask that all participants be experienced paddleboarders, wear a PFD and leash, and have a whistle and waterway permit. In addition to your costume, you’ll also need to bring your own SUP, paddle, and other equipment.
Date & Time: Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 11:00 am
Location: Willamette Park on the Willamette River. The witches will slowly make their way to Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
